Create Database

This is the first step to do. This database will store all important objects for your collection of knowledge. Consider a database as a book that can store knowledge on the form of information, tests, readings and questions. What paper based book cannot store is multimedia file.

Create eQuestion

After creating database, now it is ready to add collection of eQuestion. This collection of eQuestion is important step for creating eTest. In this process, you create eQuestion, right answer for eQuestion, and optional discussion for eQuestion. You could also create reading, multimedia file or eDocument. Reading and multimedia file can be considered as sources for questions. Based on these sources you can create collection of eQuestion. If you need some references in your collection of eQuestion, then you can create eDocument for your user to study before attempting to do eTesting.

Create eTest

In this process, you create eTest by choosing eQuestion you have created from earlier step. eTest can have sub eTest which you can set its weight for grading. eTest can be set as exam or practice. If you set eTest as an exam then eTest will not allow you to see discussion but the grade will be stored in database. If you set eTest as practice then the grade will not be stored but users can see the discussion or hints for answering eQuestion.

Setting up Object Properties

Objects in BOCSoft eQuestion are highly customizable. There are seven objects that you can set its properties which are database, eQuestion, reading, multimedia, eDocument, eTest and sub eTest.

eQuestion and eTest object for example have properties for targeting specific audiences based on Institutional unit, Specialization, Level, Subject and Topic.

eTest time property could be set up by adding up all eQuestion time property.  So determining of how long eTest will last is not a matter of guessing but as a matter of fact. eTest time will be more accurate. This will help students to simulate for real test.

eQuestion column property is a property to for printing multiple choices. If it is set as two column then it will need less paper than one column.

Securing eQuestion Database

For educator edition of this application, you can secure your eQuestion database by setting up eQuestion database properties such as is printable, Read only, and is Importable.

Reporting

You can create report for eTest, eDocument and eGrade by exporting to it rtf ( rich text file) file. You can print eTest on paper so that your students or children can take paper based exam.

Managing User

This function can manage user in the application by assigning proper rights. This function will secure your application objects.

eTesting

Now your user of knowledge management database can take exam by choosing an eTest from your collection of eTest.

eGrade & Analyzing Strength and Weaknesses

After doing eTesting, exam will be graded automatically. Collection of eGrade can be further programmed for presenting summary of achievement of the testers. This will help for analyzing strenghts and weaknesses of the testers.
