What is Community Database?

BOCSoft created a program to share knowledge called BOCSoft eQuestion Sharing Knowledge. A Database that is created by BOCSoft eQuestion for the purpose of sharing is called community database. That database will store questions, tests, documents that may be benefit for the purpose of learning for free.

Why Community Database?

We knew that learning should not be taught in just one way. There are many ways of learning. Learning by teaching subjects in a class room, learning by using books, learning by experimentation, learning by watching videos, learning by taking test, learning from internet and perhaps learning from failures. With all those available means of learning, we have tried to create our own way of learning by using Information Technology. BOCSoft eQuestion uses several ways of learning, eDocument or eBook as a way of learning from books, practices or tests as a way of learning by doing, Multimedia, sound or videos as audio and visual learning.

We are aware that there are still many people do not have the luxury of buying books, taking private tutors for catching up with what they are learning now. We are hoping that by creating this community databases that some people who have the necessary knowledge can share their knowledge, so it can enrich our way of learning especially for the people who have passion for learning but do not have the power financially.

Our idea of sharing knowledge does not mean that it should be available for every one. Sharing knowledge can also be used in a school. Instead of teaching it in traditional way of learning, teacher can prepare his subject in one database for one semester or one year. By giving summary of topics in just one database, teachers can now focus on discussion about any topics that have been prepared, instead of giving lessons by writing it on the blackboard for the whole class time which we think that way of learning is wasting of time.

Who Create Community Database?

People who have necessary knowledge in particular subjects can share their knowledge. These people are not necessarily a teacher. Students can also participate. Aren't we all still learning?

With our limitation, we, BOCSoft, will also try from time to time to share our knowledge in perhaps several subjects.

How Do We Create Community Database?

You need BOCSoft eQuestion application to create a database. We provide free BOCSoft eQuestion Standard version to create databases.
